Congratulations to Mrs. Jessica Culvert and student Morgan Nietert! They are among the sixteen student-teacher teams selected for the Sacrifice for Freedom 2023 Summer Institute.
This all-expenses paid program allows participants to study World War II history on the island of Oahu, Hawai’i. During their time in Hawai’i, Mrs. Culvert and Morgan will be researching the historical profile of a “Silent Hero.” This profile will be published during the 2023-24 school year.
Sacrifice for Freedom is National History Day program funded by the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites, which includes the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, Pacific Historic Parks, Battleship Missouri Memorial, and the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum at Pearl Harbor.
