What: History Day Workshop When: Friday October 13th, 2023, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Where: US Marshals Museum 789 RIVERFRONT DRIVE, FORT SMITH, AR 72901
Who: 6-12th grade Social Studies, GT, English, Drama, Literacy, and Technology teachers and school Librarians.
What: You will learn how your school can get involved in NHD and why it is not just for History classes. Learn how this program allows students to shine and build confidence through performances, papers, exhibits, websites, and documentaries. National History Day also meets Literacy frameworks and offers students the opportunity to strengthen their skills in research, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. You will learn about this year’s theme and collaborate with other teachers. There will also be a presentation by the US Marshal Museum and Arkansas Humanities council.
Up to 5 hours of Arkansas Professional Development credit will be available for attending the workshop.
