What: AMNR History Day Workshop
When: Wednesday, July 26, 2023, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
Where: Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources, 4087 Smackover Highway, Smackover, Arkansas
Who: 6-12th grade Social Studies, English, GT, Drama, Art, Literacy, and
Technology teachers and school librarians.
What: Join us for an egaging day at the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources! In this free workshop, we will answer questions such as-What is National History Day? How can your school get invovled in NHD? and more! We will look at why it is not just for History classes and see the different options for participating with your students. This program allows students to
shine and build confidence through performaces, essays, exhibits, websites, and documentaries. National History Day also meets Literacy frameworks and offers students the opportunity to strengthen their skills in research, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. Up to 6 hours of Arkansas Profession Development credits will be available for attending the workshop.
